This is the moment to start your own Guitar Notebook. On the title page write the date, then the heading "PURPOSE", followed by your response to the question above. This will help you to keep focussed. The date will give you motivation.

I have learned by experience that to learn any instrument well you must have a top teacher. However you may not be aiming to be a virtuoso. You may just want to have a bit of fun at home, or just to play a few basic chords with a small group. So tailor your Guitar Lessons and tutoring expenses according to your purpose. Enter your thoughts and plans into your notebook. Keep focussed.

Guitar Chords

The short cut here is obviously to learn from the experts. This will save you having to relearn many guitar chords and chord progressions, and so save you perhaps years of practising. Sure you can easily practice say a Dmin7 and an Amin7, but which patterns will you use when playing one chord straight after the other? Also bear in mind that these chords can appear in different contexts.
